Mothers have a duty to intervene for the healthy, safety, and prosperity of their children.
We have reached an inflection point that demands action.
We must turn this moment into a movement: we seek to create a village of mothers who work collectively to celebrate and cherish Black lives, to defend and protect Black bodies.
In this moment, “March Like a Mother” is a rallying cry that began in Boston — and we will raise the voices of Black mothers to be heard across the country by all.
We are in this work for the long haul.
In this movement, March Like a Mother will activate busy moms, from every walk of like — especially moms of color — to become activist moms. Our movement focuses on four key policy areas that directly influence the trajectory of Black lives, from birth through adulthood: Public Safety Reform, Health, Education, and Economic Justice. Through micro-activism education, networking, and other opportunities, we will raise up villages of activist moms who will work together to advance policy change to dismantle systemic racism in their own communities.
